Patricia Virsinger and Bayzid Islam studied in their final theses how the potential of international students could be used in South Karelia.

Hungarian by Patricia Virsinger final thesis for LUT University deals with companies' desire and opportunities to employ international students. According to him, companies don't necessarily know how they could benefit from students.

- The important question is whether they are aware of how big the talent reserve in this area actually is.

According to him, students enjoy themselves and would often like to stay in Finland if only there were jobs.

- People really like Finland, eregularly when they have been here for a longer period of time.

Virsinger says based on his previous research.

Bangladeshi Bayzid Islam on the other hand, in his diploma thesis, he focuses on finding a model for LUT University and Saimia that will make international students stay in Finland better than before. According to him, in order to stay in Finland, students coming from abroad must have something that binds them to Finland.

-Finding a job doesn't just bring them work. In the future, it will serve their other needs as their families grow. In other words, work is one thing that binds an international student to the region,

Islam states.

Both Patricia and Bayzid are good examples of integration. Both have almost ten years behind them in Finland, Finnish spouses and the intention to settle in Finland.
