Traffic safety issues in the Mansikkala school center area came up in public this week. The problems were revealed when the school children returned to the traffic with close-to-home teaching and a roundabout and an underpass tunnel were started to be built in the area in addition to the school.

Builder of Mitra Henry Tapiola thanks the direct feedback received from the townspeople. Mitra works in the area as a developer and commissions the works, the actual contracts are tendered.

Tapiola has had a discussion with the contractors working in Mansikkala today.

─ About 140 people currently work in the area and not all impacts have been taken into account. Corrective measures have now been taken with the contractors, says Tapiola.

In the negotiations today, it has been agreed that cars will no longer be kept on bike lanes.

─ In addition to this, the boundaries and guidance of the area will be improved during Wednesday and Holy Thursday. The situation must be better on Friday, Tapiola promises.
