Arja Kujala, head of welfare services, is in charge of the opening of outdoor gyms on May 14.5. questions about

1) The outdoor gyms have already had users, what does it mean that they will officially open on Thursday?

In practice, they have been closed, but we know that there have already been users on, for example, closed football fields.

2) Will it be possible to practice there in the future like before the corona?

No, because the gathering limit of 10 people is still valid until the end of May. Clubs should also remember this when planning exercises.

In small nearby sports facilities, for example the outdoor fitness area of a sports hall, the limit of ten people is absolute.

On larger fields, such as the Ukonnimi sports field and artificial turf and in general on all sports fields, the maximum number of people is 30 people in groups of no more than 10 people. No close contact between enthusiasts is allowed on the fields.

3) Are the changing rooms of the outdoor sports facilities in use?

They're not in May yet. This is to anticipate that you will be able to train in training clothes. For hygiene reasons, the toilets are also not in use in May.

4) Can competitions be held on the fields?

Must not. Competitions are prohibited during May.

5) What do the guidelines say about golf courses?

Golf courses have different regulations because they are larger areas. They allow a maximum of 50 people in May and in groups of a maximum of 10 people, close contact between players is not allowed here either.

6) Are there other instructions for users of outdoor fields?

As elsewhere, good hand hygiene must be taken care of. Before entering the field, it is good to wash your hands or disinfect them when you leave home. And accordingly, when returning from training, you must remember to wash your hands. There are no places to wash hands on the courts, because the toilets are not in use.

7) What will happen on 1.6. for outdoor use?

The new rules will come into force in June. Gathering restrictions are relaxed to 50 people. We are still waiting for instructions from the Regional Administration Office (AVI) regarding, for example, series games and the use of outdoor fields. The city will inform as soon as new instructions are received.

8) When do the Indoor Sports Centers open?

Regarding indoor sports venues, AVI's instructions are also expected. The preliminary assumption is that, for example, the sports hall can be gradually opened in June. Swimming pool opening is still a question mark. Especially when opening a swimming hall, more detailed instructions are needed, for example how many swimmers can be in different sized pools at the same time.
