Help for livelihood difficulties caused by exceptional circumstances is available

Among others, Kela, Eksote, the parish and several organizations help.

The exceptional conditions affect the livelihood of many households, for example due to layoffs. You shouldn't stay alone because of financial difficulties, help is available.

National Pension Institute  (Kela) grants basic income support during seven days. You can find the application instructions here.

Exote grants supplementary and preventive income support in addition to Kela's support. You can apply for supplementary and preventive income support at the same time as you apply for basic income support or after basic income support. Kela will submit your application to Eksote if you have requested a transfer of the application and presented expenses other than basic income support in your application. You can call Imatra's adult social work service advice Monday - Friday from 8 am to 16 pm tel. 05 352 5926 .

PeLa has also delivered 70 euro gift cards to the parish of Imatra for relief work.

Job seekers distribute 500 EU food bags

Imatra job seekers will distribute around 500 EU food bags on Thursday 9.4 April. from 10 am to 15 pm in Imatrankoski in Ay-talo (former Jyski premises).

The city reminds that children in distance learning still have the option to register for school meals if necessary. In school meals, the aim is to ensure that children wash their hands and keep a sufficient distance from each other.
