Eksote and Imatra inform you: A collection of transaction assistance tips available during the corona period
Business services for South Karelian people who are at risk of the coronavirus disease have been compiled on Eksoten's website.
The social and health district of South Karelia (Eksote) has compiled on the website www.eksote.fi/koronavirus information about the corona virus and listed companies that deliver shopping, meal and pharmacy services to the home in South Karelia. In addition, the page contains information about telephone and online services that offer emotional support.
Now it is important that we each take care of our loved ones and neighbors belonging to risk groups as much as we can, so that they do not have to be exposed to the coronavirus. Based on current information, people over the age of 70 are more susceptible than others to getting a serious coronavirus infection.
Persons belonging to risk groups or quarantined, whose daily life cannot be organized with the help of loved ones or neighbors in an exceptional situation, can call the contact person of their municipality of residence if necessary. The contact person can help you find a suitable service.
Entrepreneurs and organizations that offer services that protect risk groups in this situation can contact Reetta Tourus: reetta.tourunenexote.fi (reetta[dot]tourunen[at]eksote[dot]fi) or phone 040 651 3141.

Imatra already has several helpers
In the area of the city of Imatra, several parties have already signed up for the rink, which offers trade and transaction services in the corona era.
─ It's great that in times of need there is a common spirit, head of welfare services Arja Kujala thanks
The Kauppa-apu Facebook group of volunteers, Saimaan Virta, pharmacies, several taxis, the home delivery services of shops, the parish and Uutisposti's transport services have signed up to join the help groups.
Kujala encourages you to contact the help providers directly. The client and the aid provider agree on practices and payments directly between themselves.
The shopping and dealing service is aimed at the elderly and people in risk groups who are not advisable to carry things themselves due to the risk of coronary heart disease.
─ Many have relatives who can help with transactions. But there are also many people whose loved ones are, for example, in another town. Because of this, it was decided to compile the contact information by Eksoten and the municipalities, says Kujala.
The city of Imatra has its own corona information pages online (imatra.fi/imatran-kaupungin-koronaohjeet). They also have a direct link to the transaction service page, where the service providers' contact information can be found. It is hoped that loved ones and acquaintances will pass on information to those in need. A newspaper notice will also be published on the matter.
