Registration for the first grade of basic education

Parents of future first-graders will receive a message or letter this week with instructions on registering their child for first grade. The letters are mainly sent as Wilma messages, but if the guardians do not yet have Wilma IDs, the letter will be sent with the mail. The school is primarily registered through Wilma. 

The letter comes with instructions on how to register the child at school, and it shows the child's nearest school. Parents can, if they wish, apply for a school place for their child at another school as well. The child also has the opportunity to apply for a place at the school where the sibling studies in grades 1 to 5. This does not apply to special classes. 

- The last day to register for school is January 15.1.2020, 217, so we hope that all new students have been registered by then. According to current information, a total of XNUMX first-graders will start school in Imatra next fall, says service secretary Leena Vaittinen. 

In the spring, a day to get to know the school is organized for future first-graders and their guardians at their own school. Everyone will receive a separate invitation from the event.
