The city council of Imatra decided on Monday 9.12. in its extraordinary meeting, unanimously proposes to the city council meeting on the same day the abolition of three leading positions. At the beginning of 2020, the positions of the director of welfare and education services, the director of urban development, and the manager of financial and financial planning would end.

The reason for the closures is to lighten the organization in a financially difficult situation.

─ In this situation, the need to adapt affects everyone, including the management, the chairman of the city board Anna Helminen says.

The official responsibilities of the positions to be abolished would be transferred to the mayor and deputy mayor. The operational reorganization of tasks is resolved in the yt negotiation through changes in the task description for several people.

For the current office holders of the positions to be abolished, it is intended to start a separate yt process immediately, in which the chairpersons of the city board represent the employer.

This yt process is supposed to be concluded at the same time as the city's already started yt negotiation regarding the entire organization. Both processes end by 7.1.2020 January XNUMX.
