Increase in water and waste water fees and basic fees from 1.1.2020 January XNUMX

Release
21.11.2019 14:58
Water and wastewater charges will rise by six percent at the turn of the year

The price increase is based on the fees and sales revenue program for 11.11.2019 approved by the Imatra city council at its budget meeting on 2020 November 0,29. Water and wastewater fees and basic fees will increase by six percent, meaning that the future increase will increase water and wastewater fees by €3/mXNUMX.

The change will increase the water and wastewater fees of a typical single-family house by approximately €53/year and the basic fee by €2,7/year. For the 30 apartments in a typical apartment building, this means an increase in the water and waste water fee per apartment of approximately €48/year and an increase in the basic fee by €0,3/year.

- We had to raise the prices because the general price level has risen and increased our costs, and at the same time water consumption has decreased and reduced our income, says the water supply manager Kari Pietarinen.

After the increase, Imatra's water charges are in the middle of the top third in the national comparison.

Imatran Vesi has sent a letter to all consumers regarding the issue on November 21.11.2019, XNUMX.
