Snap furniture and planter boxes into place

The planter boxes for Neppar arrived last week, and new light poles have been added to the square during the fall. Multicolored LED lights have been placed on the poles on the edges of the square to give the square a look, and light poles have been installed on the square itself. There is a small stage in the middle for small performances.

Trees and bushes have been planted in the planter boxes, and there will be seating areas and groups with benches and tables near them in the spring.

In the spring, mobile phone charging stations and a bicycle repair station will also be coming to the square.

- The color of the planting boxes will still change over time. The boxes are made of weather-resistant steel that changes over time. The boxes, which are now brown, oxidize and patina into a beautiful rust brown, almost orange, says city gardener Erika Luhtanen.

Koskenparta renovation works
Some of the trees have been cut down from Kostenparta and replaced with plow frames, which have Christmas lights installed for Christmas. Due to the early frosts, the installation of the safety net of the playground will be delayed until spring, as will the repair of the pavement in Koskenparta.

Matinkatu's planting boxes are ready and the street will be opened soon. New bike racks are also coming to the street.

Koskipuisto
A new safety mat will also be installed at the Koskipuisto playground in the spring, and the slide-climbing stand and carousel have also been renewed there.
