The estimated price of the school is 17,7 million euros.

The contractors for the new building of the Koski school center have been selected. The main contract was won by Rakennusliike Evälahti Oy from Imatra.

─ It was great news for us as the builder of the community that we got such a significant object again. We had more projects completed in the summer than started, so this was a good addition to the winter workload. There will be around 15-20 in-house builders on the site, and in addition there will be subcontractors and subcontractors. The total strength of the construction site will be around 50-60 people, CEO of Evälahti Jouni Pohjolainen says.

A total of three construction companies sought the main contract in August-September.

Both ventilation and plumbing are done by Are Oy. VVS Sähkö Oy is responsible for the electrical work.

A total of 14 offers were received from these three contracts.

The total value of Koski's new school property has been calculated at 17,7 million euros.

Imatran Toimitilat Oy signs the contract with the companies.

Two-story light building

The excavation work for the construction foundation of the new school property has mostly already been done by Maansiirto Backman Oy. Evalahti will start work on the site by the beginning of November at the latest. It should be ready in July 2021.

─ The entire apartment area of the two-story school will be 6586 square meters. It will be a concrete-framed, brick-clad, mostly plastered and light-colored, builder Ari Lattu seal.

Innovarch Oy was responsible for the architectural design.

New, history and transformative flexibility

A solar power plant will be placed on the roof of the school, which will generate electricity for the school's use. The power plant also sells the electricity it produces to the grid.

─ I think this will be a particularly great whole, where a wonderful historical high school, a flexible module and this new heart with subject teaching classes, sports facilities and a canteen are in perfect harmony, CEO of Toimitilat company Lassi Nurmi says.

The yard is also undergoing a transformation.

─ It will be made as wonderful as the yard of Vuoksenniska's new school, Lattu promises.
