Pianist Janne Mertanen will give a concert at Imatra on Thursday 17.10. at 19.00:XNUMX in the Karelia hall.

Admission to the concert is free and its duration is approximately 60 minutes.

The concert will include Frederik Chopin's Nocturnes.  

Janne Mertanen is a Finnish pianist, known especially as an interpreter of Chopin, but also as an interpreter of romantic and classical piano works. Mertanen has been recording Chopin's music since 1994, but also music by Sibelius and other Finnish composers. Most recently, he recorded Heino Kaske's piano music, Yö meren stranda - the album was released in 2018. 

The concert is connected to Janne Mertanen's visit to Virta college. He will hold a master class for the college, where five young people from the music college will be able to study Chopin's piano music under his guidance.
