Transferring the subscription and usage agreement to a new owner
Water and wastewater contracts are not transferred to the new owner automatically when the property is handed over. In connection with a change of ownership, the change must be reported using the form found on this page.
Old water contracts are transferred to the new owner based on notification. With the notification, the transferee undertakes to comply with the terms of the transferred contract. At the same time, the contract between the transferor and Imatra Vede ends.
Suomi.fi identification is used in the electronic notification.
In connection with the change of ownership, Imatran Vesi checks the property's water contract status. If there are deficiencies in the height information in the contract, the property will have to be leveled, in which case the leveling team will have to enter the property.
If the information of the former contract is up to date, the contracts will be transferred directly to the new owner. If there are flaws in the old contracts, we renew the contracts and send them to the new owner to be signed.
If it is not possible to make a report electronically, you can also make a report by delivering a copy of the deed of sale and the water meter reading to Imatra Vede's customer service. The information can be sent by e-mail to water billingimatra.fi (water billing[at]imatra[dot]fi) or to customer service at Imatra Vesi/Laskutus, Virastokatu 2, 55100 Imatra.
