The residents of Vuoksenniska discussed the development of the area

Vuoksenniska's workhouse on Wednesday, August 28.8. in the discussion held, Vuoksenniska's challenging situation was noted and several solutions were proposed to cheer up the area.

Among the development ideas that were brought up were the creation of an IT center on the Vuoksenniska route or the fast-paced demolition of buildings in poor condition on the route and the creation of green areas in their place.

The expected change in ownership of the golf course was also seen as an opportunity for more versatile use of the area. 

In addition to the "Participate and influence" working group, five resident activists who represented Niskan Vuoksi Ry, the Rauti neighborhood association, Vuoksenniska pensioners and Työn Vuoksi took part in the discussion.
