Information about public procurement for entrepreneurs

Etelä-Karjalan Yrittäjät organized a morning coffee event for entrepreneurs at the Imatra town hall on Thursday, August 22.8. At the event, we heard about the Procurement in Imatra region (HIH) and Procurement in South Karelia (HEH) projects.

According to the entrepreneurs' organization, these projects have greatly advanced the region's procurement know-how both in procurement units and among entrepreneurs.

Deputy judges spoke at the event Topi Heinänen Attorney from Lindblad, procurement specialist Simo Timperi From the city of Imatra and the procurement agent for South Karelia Anni Peltola.

Timperi told about the developing procurement processes of the city of Imatra and the new openings in the fall. At the end of 2019, Imatra will switch to full electronic tendering with the national electronic procurement system.

─ It is hoped that this will promote the procurement know-how of entrepreneurs in the region and increase their readiness to succeed in tenders. This can help to succeed not only in local procurements but also in nationwide procurements, says Timperi.

The entrepreneurs present were for a new type of training.

─ Transparency and sparring on the legal side of public procurement are excellent help for entrepreneurs and companies that have an impact in the community, sales manager Tommi Teittinen Rantalainen & Talsi Oy says.

In his opinion, acquisitions in South Karelia seem to be on a good and equitable basis.

─ And it's really good to note that the systems are renewed using today's technology.
