Rantaraitti from Omenapuupuisto to Neitsyniemi has been completed

The road that was under construction from Omenapuupuisto to Neitsytniemi road has been completed. The beginning of the route was already completed last summer and now the rest of the route to Neitsytniemi manor road has been completed. A wooden arch bridge has been built over Wirrasjoki. The route from the bridge to Neitsyniemi continues as a wooden walkway that allows wheelchair access to the bridge. Raitti also stays drier in the spring. 

There is also a rest area with benches and a view of Vuoksi on the track. 

- We will build a pier with a swimming ladder along the road. For local residents, there will be Venepaikat for rowing boats on the beach, says city gardener Erika Luhtanen.
