A ten-kilometer route has been marked around the Ukonniemi stadium.

Saturday 10.8. Imatra Urheilijat organizes the Imatra MTB mountain biking event for the whole family. Before that, anyone can test the bike route.

A ten-kilometer long route has been marked on the terrain of the Ukonniemi stadium, which is freely available to the citizens of the city before the start of the competition on Saturday at 12 o'clock.

This is a good opportunity to get to know the easy terrain. The ten kilometer route is not demanding, so it is suitable for everyone. The route is well suited for use by, for example, beginners and families with children, Imatra Athletes Antti Heikkinen says.

The route can be accessed from the venue, the Ukonniemi stadium.

The start and finish are at the stadium. The competition center is also located there, says Heikkinen.

This week, you will have time to ride your bike on several days. A longer trip is also being prepared.

By Friday morning, the 30-kilometer route is also supposed to be ready. Now there is an opportunity to take advantage of the route from Wednesday until Saturday morning. By noon, the extras must leave the route, says Heikkinen.

Pre-registration for Saturday's MTB event has closed. However, you can still register at the competition office.

There are two hundred pre-registered. I think the final number of participants would be around 300-350, Heikkinen estimates.
