Yard area reduced due to construction work. The yard will be developed during the fall.

On Thursday, schoolchildren can start of the academic year at the Koski school center in the new modules.

─ The new module construction project has progressed on schedule. The school has been furnished and equipped in the last few days, project manager Mari Routti says.

A safe route from Lyseo to the new module has been made for students and staff. The construction site will be fenced off by Thursday. A part of the Koulukellonkuja light traffic lane is separated by a fence for construction site traffic, which takes place via Sulkukuja.

The demolition of the old school has progressed almost according to the original schedule, but the last demolition work will still be done in August.

The yard area near the new module will be finished this week. The purpose is that the yard area can be further developed during the fall, when we get some experience after school starts. The limitation is the reduced size of the yard area.

Construction of the main school will likely start between October and November and it will be put into operation in August 2021. The activities around the construction site for the next two school years will then be rewarded with a new, wonderful school - just like what happened in Vuoksenniska.

Mari Routti, who worked as a project manager for one and a half years, will transfer to another employer on August 12.8. Responsible for the new school construction project Ari Lattu Mitra from Imatra Rakennuttaja Oy (tel. 05-2352825). As far as the city of Imatra is concerned, the project coordinator will act as the contact person in the future as needed Heidi Tamminen (for. 020 6175848).
