Release

The project has progressed rapidly to the construction phase.

Since February 2018, worked as the project manager of the school and daycare network renewal of the city of Imatra Mari Routti will transfer to another employer in early August.

Rout's employment at Imatra is temporary. It was originally supposed to end next year. Rout has a position as the director of education in the city of Lappeenranta, from which he moved to Imatra on leave.

─ My job description has mainly included the implementation of the service network decision in such a way that the investments according to the decisions proceed according to the target schedule and the costs remain under control. My own role has been central in the preparation and planning phase of the projects, but significantly less so in the construction phase. When the design of the last school center is completed this summer, a very different phase of the project will begin. Now is a good time to take up the new challenge offered to me.

─ The city of Imatra has been an excellent employer and I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to lead this project. Its smooth progress would not have been possible without the energetic and expert work of the city's and Mitra's personnel, as well as the steering group's sense of purpose, says Routti.

The city management has been very satisfied with Rout's work contribution.

─ Routti has played a significant role in the fact that the nationally very unique and large service network reform has progressed according to the goals and on schedule, city manager Kai Roslakka thanks

The city of Imatra is renewing its entire school network and guarantees healthy learning environments for all schoolchildren. Teaching will be concentrated in three school centers, of which the new building in Vuoksenniska will be put into use in August, Finland's largest wooden school is currently being built in Mansikkala, and renovation works are starting at Koske school.

In the near future, the city will outline what kind of project coordination the service network project will require in the future, and who will handle the task.
