Tell us about your own exercise habits and what would make you move more

The city of Imatra is preparing a movement program, the purpose of which is to make increasing movement one of the top activities for increasing health and well-being. In the future, exercise will be promoted more and more widely with the services provided by the city and in cooperation with various non-governmental organizations, communities, sports clubs, companies and residents.

The first step in building a movement program is to find out the movement habits of the city dwellers and to hear what things would make them excited about movement.

- We hope that as many townspeople as possible will respond to the survey and would tell about their own exercise habits and wishes. This way we would get valuable information for the future movement program, states the head of welfare services Arja Kujala.

The purpose of the future program is to lower the threshold to exercise in everyday life and to make exercise and its initiation as attractive and easy as possible. The aim is to develop the urban environment and sports offerings to encourage movement and everyday activity in different city districts and taking into account different population groups. It is hoped that the survey will also bring new ideas to activate the citizens of the municipality.

Inquiry is open on 24.5. - 16.6. the time in between. The open time of the survey has been extended.

In the future, the movement program and movement can be seen on Imatra's electronic channels.
