Two options to decide.

The plans for the local sports area in Kostinpuisto are to be decided by the welfare committee next Tuesday. The park is becoming a local exercise area for the smaller students of the Mansikkala school center. Outside of school hours, the area is available to all city residents.

It is presented to the board two different options. In the final presentation, option 1 is presented for selection.

 Mali 1

You can choose a model with a small small area for playing. It could be frozen in winter for skating. In this case, Linnala's old school field and Linnalan the so-called maintenance of the backfield ice areas.

The first model also includes an approximately 13 X 22 meter exercise arena, various swings, a balancing area and a small warehouse for changing skates and storing small exercise equipment

Mali 2

In the second model, the frozen exercise area is missing, so the size of the big ice planned for the field must be maximized in the design of the Linnala field. In addition to the arena, swings and balance area, the second model has a beach volleyball court and space for playing street basketball. This plan also has a small storage room for exercise equipment.

Change while saving nature

Both plans mean that a new location for the frisbee golf course will have to be found. However, at least three fairways remain in Kostinpuisto.

─ The implementation of the Kostinpuisto will be done under the conditions of nature, saving trees as much as possible, Harri Valtasola promise.

When the board has chosen a feasible alternative, the plans for the Kostinpuisto neighborhood sports area will be further worked on and the contract tender will be launched. The works can be started in the area next autumn. The project's funding is divided over two years, so the work should be ready in the fall of 2020, when Mansikkala's new school center is completed.

The price of the contract will be determined after the tender.
