There was no complaint about the formula.

It will start happening in the area of the Koski school center already this spring. The area's site plan change got its seal on Thursday, when no appeals were filed on the matter by the deadline.

Of course, the plans have already been moved forward during the winter. Tendering for the demolition contract of the decommissioned school property started at the beginning of March. If the bidding process and the demolition permit issues proceed as planned, the demolition work is supposed to start in mid-May with interior work and in terms of harmful substances.

─ Prior to this, a survey of harmful substances has already been carried out on the property to be demolished. The building contains creosite and asbestos in the floors, underlays and pipe insulation, technical property manager Ari Lattu says.

The internal demolition work is done in such a way that the actual machine dismantling can be started immediately after the Imatra Run on 17.6.

The school soup kitchen will move out by June 7. The premises for technical work will be left unfinished in the contract, because they are still needed. The water and heating connections for these premises have to be reorganized.

─ The property should mostly be demolished when school starts in early August. Of course, the finishing of the demolition area may still be a little unfinished when school starts. All the demolition work should be ready by the end of August, Lattu defines schedule expectations.

Dismantling will cause noise. Time restrictions can be set for noisy work. The spread of demolition dust is also prevented by watering.

─ On really windy days, demolition can be temporarily suspended, Lattu states.

When schools start, all construction site traffic will be directed through Sulkukuja. During puru, there can be heavy traffic also through Kanavakatu.

The school's immediate neighbors will be informed about the effects of the demolition work during the spring.

Schoolwork continues normally at the high school and modules.
