The long-term unemployed to employed project was to be implemented between 2018 and 2020, funded by Häme ELY Center (European Social Fund - ESR) and the city of Imatra.
The project was implemented in cooperation with the TE office, TYP, the organization organizing the degrees and local companies.
The purpose of the project was especially to update the professional skills of long-term unemployed men from Imatra so that the skills and knowledge meet the needs of the labor market and contribute to the future employment of the participants in the project.
The project created an operating model for increasing the professional skills of the long-term unemployed. With the help of the operating model, people are able to complete the vocational parts of the degree, based on learning on the job and providing evidence to the vocational college.
After the end of the project, the activities will continue in the employment functions of the city of Imatra.
