Release
14.10.2016 18:15
Children aged 5 to 8 from Imatra get ten free tickets to the swimming hall.

Free tickets are distributed to children through kindergartens and schools. At Imatra, there are 5 children in the age groups of 8 to 852 years, so 8520 tickets are distributed. The tickets entitle only one child to swim. Parents and grandparents pay the normal fee.

The sports services of the city of Imatra encourage children and their parents to independently learn to swim and exercise. The head of sports services, Teijo Kytösalmi, encourages going with children to learn the basics of swimming.

- In the company of their parents, the child feels safe, and the father or mother does not have to be a swimming teaching professional, but support and security. When playing with children, we get used to the water and if there are any fears, we overcome them together. You can ask the staff for advice if necessary, says Kytösalmi.

Free tickets can be used immediately and are valid until the end of May 2017. Parents of five-year-olds who do not get tickets through eskar can contact Harri Valtasola or Teijo Kytösalmi.
