Plowing and street cleaning continues

Kipa continues to clear the streets of snow and at the same time plows new snow. Today, the main thoroughfares and collector streets will be plowed.

This week, the graders have started cleaning residential streets from dirt. Planing has started in Rajapatsa and Meltola. The cleaning of the residential streets will continue next week, but the work will be slowed down by the constant snow.

The snow removal is going well and the views have been cleared from the worst places. Contractors have also been helping with the work with excavators.

- We have plowed the main thoroughfares already ten times this year and the residential streets have been plowed three times as well, says Kimmo Kauhanen, the responsible master of Imatra Kiinteistö- ja Aluepalvelu Oy. We can follow the plowing up-to-date through the GPS system we use.
