Imatra Base Camp Oy is a 100% owned subsidiary of the city of Imatra, which sells and markets the facilities, events, plots and the city of Imatra to tourists.

The sales and marketing functions of the city of Imatra are centralized to Imatra Base Camp Oy, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the city. Five permanent employees work in the company. The goal behind the centralization is to build the marketing that was in different organizations into its own entity that brings vitality.

Considering its size, Imatra has a lot of events and other activities, and the things that are marketed with the new operating model are wanted to be brought out in a better and coordinated way. By expanding and diversifying the active supply, regional market demand can be increased, which in turn generates new customer flows.

The city government has made the company responsible for the sale and marketing of premises and events, as well as the organization of local tourist information activities. At a later stage, Imatra Base Camp Oy will also be responsible for the marketing of the plots.

The company itself does not produce or organize, for example, sports or cultural events, but rather they are organized in cooperation with third sector operators. The company's task is to help and encourage clubs and associations in applying for events and competitions, as well as in their organization and marketing. The company also targets its own, direct measures to selected customer groups and maps the receipt of new transactions to Imatra.

The goal is that the effectiveness of the company's operations manifests itself in the development of regional vitality, an increase in the recognition of the economic area, and the development of the utilization rates of the facilities. Through various measures, the operating conditions of companies and the third sector will improve. The targets of the activity are national and international target groups. GoSaimaa cooperation is utilized in the organization and marketing of tourism services, especially in terms of international marketing.

The city also organizes a lot of local events and events aimed at municipal residents during Easter. These are mainly organized by the city's welfare services and the Imatra city center association, or Imitsi, who are also responsible for the marketing and communication of the aforementioned services and events. Imatra Base Camp Oy also develops the marketing of the aforementioned services and events together with operators. The group's communications department will continue to be responsible for municipal communications. Imatra Base Camp Oy is overall responsible for Teatteri Imatra's marketing and sales, and the theater is responsible for communication.
