Aftercare events have been organized today for the students and staff of Mansikkala and Linnala schools and high school. As for the high school, after-training events continue on Friday. 

In the schools, the staff of the social and health district Eksote together with the welfare services of the city of Imatra have guided the follow-up.

─ Discussion help will continue to be available. If students, their parents or school staff need this, you should contact either the school health nurse, student care staff or occupational health care, the head of Imatra's welfare services Arja Kujala encourage.

On Tuesday morning, the schools in the Mansikkala area were locked and the students were inside the schools as a security measure, because the police had received a report about a suspicious person moving around with a gun. The announcement later turned out to be a misunderstanding.

Regarding communication, the instructions state that in exceptional situations, the city's main communication channel is always the website (imatra.fi) and there the first page with the news window. In exceptional situations, communication is centralized on these pages so that all information is in one place.

In alarm-related tasks, the main responsibility for communication lies either with the police or the rescue service.
