Paperharjuntie opens - the portion of the deviating route will be shortened

Paperharjuntie opens to traffic today, October 19.10. afternoon. The exception route has now moved to Karhukoirankatu. The buses are still running on the current detour route.

Paperharjuntie, which has been partially closed since the beginning of September due to widening works, is now open to traffic, but the work and exceptional traffic arrangements will continue.

- The construction site has always been open to light traffic, but now cars can also pass through. The road is still sometimes closed when work requires it, but it is always opened at the end of the working day, says developer Henry Tapiola from Mitra.

- The section of Paperharjuntie between Mäyränkatu and Piisaminkatu is now closed. In that section, traffic is directed via Karhukoirankatu.

The entire construction site will be completed by the end of November. Then the bus service will also return to Paperharjuntie.

- At this stage, the base asphalt will be made on the road and the roundabout to be built. Surface asphalting will also be done if the weather permits, but it may be delayed until spring when the weather cools down.
