Imatra supports the employment of young graduates with Startti työelämän vouchers

The city of Imatra supports the employment of young people this autumn by distributing Startti työelämän vouchers to young people from Imatra under the age of 29. The vouchers are intended for young people who graduated in 2018 and whose place of residence is Imatra. 50 banknotes are distributed. The work period should start in the middle of this year.

- We want to support young people who have completed their profession in working life, because getting that first job is usually the most difficult of all. Now young people are given the opportunity to show their skills, says cabin counselor Iina Kovalainen.

- We encourage young people to find a job for themselves and at the same time tell the employer about the possibility of getting a start in working life - a voucher that would make employment possible.

- The voucher can also be used during the Christmas season, when the need for labor usually increases, Kovalainen continues.

The value of the Start to work voucher is 300 euros for the employer, and it is intended to lower the threshold for taking young people on a work trial. The duration of the work must be at least 14 days and the number of working hours must be at least 60. The young person must be paid a salary according to the collective agreement.

The cab issues vouchers and they are handed over to the applicant personally in the order in which the voucher application was received.
