Finnish Food Authority announces: African swine fever discovered in Eastern Finland

The discovery does not require any special measures for the Imatra region.

The Finnish Food Authority informs that the disease has been detected in dead wild boars in Virolahti.

The disease is not contagious to humans. If you see dead wild boars in the wild, contact the environmental services.

We will send a sample of them to the Finnish Food Authority for examination, says the environmental manager. Sanna Hämäläinen.
