Imatranajo will be held again from July 3rd to 5th, 2026 – the event will affect traffic arrangements and public transport
The legendary Imatra Race will be held from 3 to 5.7 July as part of the ESR – European Series Road Racing series. You can get into the event atmosphere as early as Thursday 2.7 July, when the traditional parade race will leave the pit area towards Koskenparra at 17 pm.
– There will be an opportunity to meet the drivers and get autographs at Koskenpartaa around 5:10 p.m., says the executive producer of Imatranajon Henry Ahola.

Traffic arrangements during the event
The Imatranaj track area is closed to all traffic as follows:
- Friday, September 3.7th, 15:21 PM–XNUMX:XNUMX PM
- Saturday, September 4.7th, 8.30:20 AM–XNUMX:XNUMX PM
- Sunday, August 5.7th, 9–18 p.m.
The traffic closure applies to both vehicles and light traffic.
The track area runs along the route Vuoksentie – Linnankoskenkatu – Linnansuontie – Pietarintie – Imatrankoskentie. The closed area is marked on the map in yellow.
From Imatranko, you can go in the direction of Rajapatsa and Teppanala via the Imatrankoskentie roundabout. From the directions of Mehiläimäki and Itä-Siitola, access to Imatrankoski takes place via Kuutosti or the old railroad bridge.
The announced times may change if there are changes to the event schedule.
Additional public transport services and discounted tickets
During the Imatranajo event, the public is encouraged to use public transportation.
During the event, additional traffic will be arranged on routes 23, 27 and 28 from 3 to 5 July 2025. Additional traffic will also be provided on regional traffic between Imatra and Lappeenranta on route 100 during the event.
During the Imatra run, public transport single-ticket products are cheaper than normal when purchased from the bus driver; children under 18 travel free of charge and an adult single-ticket costs two euros.

There are also parking areas for the public to use. The parking areas are paid and are located on Vuoksentie and Ensontie. The parking areas are visible Imatranajon on the regional map.

Special arrangements on the Canal Bridge during the event
The light traffic lanes on the Canal Bridge will be narrowed for safety reasons during the Imatranajo event. Construction site fences and banners will be installed on the bridge on Thursday morning, July 2.7, and will be removed on Monday morning, July 6.7.
