The EUbyLakes network is meeting in Imatra this week

Imatra is visited by representatives of the lake regions from Italy, Spain and Greece. The theme of the week is digital innovations.

A module of the international EUbyLakes Open Air University project is being organized this week at Imatra. The theme of the module is digital innovations.

4 members of the EUbyLakes network will arrive in Imatra.

Tuesday 6.9. members of the network visit the Mansikkala school center.

— We meet high school students and discuss the future of the European Union with the students there, liaison director Tea Laitimo says.

On Wednesday, the network gets to know Parikkala's Statue Park, Hiitolanjoki in Rautjärvi and Lammassaari in Imatra.

On Thursday, the project organizes an open for everyone innovation seminar. The registration period for the seminar ends tomorrow, Tuesday.

Six modules, six themes

The EUbyLakes project consists of six modules. The first three modules deal with themes important to the future of Europe: democracy, cohesion and equality.

The next two modules deal with sustainable development. Topics include biodiversity, climate neutrality and digital innovations.

The project is financed by the European Union's Europe for Citizens program. The project ends in 2022.
