The changing rooms will be locked and the rescue equipment on the beaches will be removed. You can continue to swim freely.

The daily maintenance of the beaches in the city of Imatra will be stopped at the turn of August and September.

Locked locker rooms will be out of use starting tomorrow, Thursday. The maze changing booths on the beaches of Rauti, Ukonlinna and Immalanliette are still open and remain available to swimmers throughout the year.

The swimming ladders on the beaches will be left in place for the time being. Ukonlinna's beach volleyball net will be cleared within a couple of weeks, and the Imatrankoski fields will also be closed at the same time.

— You can still go swimming completely freely, sports center master Jani Niittynen Imatra's real estate and regional service Kipasta says.

The toilets at Lempukka, Rauti and Immalanliette beaches are locked. Ukonlinna's toilet is available during the day from 8 am to 20 pm.

Daily temperature measurements of swimming waters will also be stopped. Nationwide blue-green algae monitoring will continue until the end of September.
