Release
14.3.2022 19:43
The support amount is about 4200 euros.

The members of Imatra's council and the office holders who worked at the meeting have decided to hand over the fees from Monday's (March 14.3) meeting to the emergency aid work in Ukraine. In total, support from meeting fees accumulates approx 4200 euro.

The donation will go to Unicef.

─ Councilors and officials felt that they also want to personally show sympathy for the Ukrainians, in addition to the city donating a grant, the chairman of the council Anna Helminen says.

Already last week, the city government decided to support Ukrainians with 25 euros, i.e. one euro per resident of Imatra. This support for those living in the midst of war is directed equally through Unicef, the Save the Children association and the Finnish Red Cross.
