11 decision-makers from Imatra to the regional council

The turnout was low.

Based on the election night vote count, Imatra got 11 seats in the new South Karelia regional council. The place was claimed by Imatra residents Marja Estola (green), Pertti Lintunen (sd.), Niina Malm (sd.), Titta Myllärinen (sd.), Mervi Hasu (sd.), Tuija Kuikka (sd.), Sanna Prior (co. ), Anna Helminen (co.), Antti Pellinen (co.), Timo Härkönen (ps.) and Sami Rossi (ps.)

The distribution of seats in the regional council by municipality follows the preliminary votesbased on the calculation:

  • Lappeenranta 33
  • Imatra 11
  • Ruokolahti 5
  • Luumäki 2
  • Rautjärvi 2
  • Clay pot 2
  • Taipalsaari 2
  • Lemi 1
  • Parikkala 1

The voting percentage in the whole province was only 46,3 and in Imatra 46,7.

The counting of election votes starts on Monday 24.1. and the election result will be confirmed on Wednesday.
