Many of the ideas from the first feedback survey have already been implemented. A new survey is coming.

The city of Imatra conducted a customer survey about the new premises of the Mansikkala school center for elementary and high school students in September.

The answers praised the light, the yard and the indoor air. The city also received a lot of constructive development ideas. The biggest wish for change concerned the acquisition of movable walls.

Now this wish has been partially fulfilled. A few transfer walls were installed in the premises of the lower classes during the winter holiday week.

They are glass and insulate sound. The walls can be opened completely between different spaces or kept closed depending on how the teachers think is best, space and safety manager Sami Turunen says.

We only have a few days of experience with transparent transfer walls.

The teachers' feedback has already been good, headmaster Lasse Tiilikka says.

The school center will continue to have open learning environments for students of different ages. Moving walls or fixed glass walls will be installed in a few premises next summer.

In addition, a special access bridge will be built in one of the light yards in the summer for upperclassmen, which will calm down the studies of lowerclassmen.

 New survey in the spring

Based on the autumn feedback survey, various changes have been made to the yard, traffic arrangements, moped parking, dining and cleaning of the premises. One of the children's biggest wishes was to have spider swings in the yard. Such a thing is planned during the summer.

As we have emphasized from the beginning, the space will only be ready based on user feedback. In the spring, we will conduct a new customer survey for all users of the Mansikkala school center. We hope that by then at the latest, as many people as possible will tell us what is good in the premises and what still needs to be developed, says Turunen.
