The city library of Imatra and Ketterä are starting a new type of cooperation, the goal of which is to encourage young people to read.

As a sign of cooperation, Ketterä has given the Imatra city library four copies of season tickets, which can be borrowed with a library card starting this week. The cards entitle entry to Ketterä's 2019 - 2020 regular season home matches.

Two of the cards can be borrowed from the main library, one from Vuoksenniska's and one from Rajapatsa's local library.

The collaboration between the library and Ketterä will also be visible in many different ways during the Mestis season at the Imatra Spa Arena and the Imatra libraries. More detailed content and events will be announced later.

The cooperation includes players from Ketterä's representative team Saku Forsblom, Jesse Hallikas, Nicklas Nousiainen and Jesse Viskari, as well as head coach Maso Lehtonen.

The idea for borrowing season tickets from the library originally came from the basketball team Helsinki Seagulls. Mikkelin Jukurit is also starting a similar activity in the League.

Ketterä is now the first Mestis team to join library cooperation. The cooperation with Imatra aims especially to encourage young people to take up the hobby of reading.

The library's season tickets can be borrowed by all library customers. You can borrow one season pass with one library card, and the loan period is one week. You cannot reserve a season ticket.
