Aki Keskinen leaves the duties of CEO of Imatra Regional Development Company

The recruitment process for the new CEO will be outlined in the next few weeks.

Toimitusjohtaja Aki Keskinen has announced that he will leave the duties of Imatra Regional Development Company (Kehy) on 19.3. from He will join the company as regional manager for Southeast Finland,

― I feel that now is the right time to start doing something new. I have been at Kehy for ten years, the company is now in good shape and we have an excellent team serving companies in the area. The CEO's role has been a good one. The viewpoint affects the development of the region in many ways, Keskinen explains his departure.

Keskinen submitted his resignation at Kehy's board meeting on Tuesday.

― The city of Imatra thanks Aki for his good and long-term work. The frame has now been modified to look the way we wanted it to. The company is in good shape, the city manager and chairman of Kehy's board Rami Hasu says.

Kehy's board discussed the company's preliminary financial statements on Tuesday. The company's turnover is around 1,1 million euros. This amount includes the projects.

Last year, the turnover was 2,3 million euros. The turnover figures are not comparable, because tourism information, financial administration, financing of rural activities, financial services and North-West Russia Fund Oy were eliminated from the company's operations last year. Last year, operations were focused on business services and placement services.

The new shareholders' agreement was also essential, according to which the municipalities' contributions were reduced for 2017.

The company's equity in 2017 was 1,28 million euros and the profit was 105 euros. The result was influenced by the income from previous financing activities and successful project activities.

The number of personnel dropped from 17 to eight last year.
