Mansikkala school's evasion facilities being cleared
The city's indoor air working group has discussed in its meeting on 17.3. Escape room solutions for Mansikkala middle school and high school. The activities of the middle school will be organized with a modular solution from the beginning of the fall semester. The movable space solutions, or modules, will be placed on the Linnala baseball field in such a way that part of the field remains for sports use. The implementation of the modules will take into account the recommendations of modern learning environments.
As for the upper secondary school, the evacuation status surveys continue. There are two options under consideration: placement in the Vocational College Sampo premises and/or a modular solution in connection with the middle school on the Linnala field. The adequacy and suitability of Sampo's premises for high school use will be verified before the final decision.
Mansikkala's regional kitchen will operate in the current premises during the evacuation. The possibility of using the Mansikkala school's dining room and gymnasium is still being investigated.
Some of the classrooms in the Mansikkala property will be closed during April. Air purifiers have been delivered to the classes. The indoor air working group closely monitors the experiences of the staff and students regarding the indoor air in the premises during the spring. It's still especially important during external breaks. Likewise, care must be taken to ventilate classrooms and corridors.
