Applying for children's day care

A daycare place is applied for electronically. The application is child-specific. The daycare application is valid for one year. In order to determine the care fee, proof of the family's income is submitted to the early childhood education services at the town hall when the child starts day care.

Transfer application

The transfer of a daycare place to another unit or from family daycare to a kindergarten is applied for electronically. At the bottom of the page there is a transaction button for current customers. The application must be submitted by March 31.3.2016, XNUMX.

Shift care

Around-the-clock care is provided by the Vuoksenniska daycare center. Extended care is offered Mon–Sat by the Mikonpuisto daycare center.

Registration of school children for afternoon activities for the year 2016 - 2017

Afternoon activities are organized for 1st and 2nd graders and 3rd-9th grade students enrolled in special education. Places are allocated based on registrations received by the deadline. Equal criteria are used in the selection, due to older work or studies, 1st graders are given priority. 3.-9. Afternoon activities for class students are organized at Vuoksenniska school. The school travel benefit can be used to switch to afternoon activities.

You can register for the afternoon activity through the early childhood education's electronic transaction. Apprenticeship education and 3.-9. students register for afternoon activities directly at the school.

The fee is determined according to the daily activity time reserved for the child. You must register for the afternoon activity by May 15.

If necessary, all application forms can be obtained from the city hall's info desk or from room 247 of the city hall. Daycare applications are also available from kindergartens and for afternoon activities from pre-school groups and elementary schools.

Notification obligation of a private family day care provider

Pursuant to § 73 of Act 36/28 on Children's Day Care, a private person or entity that provides day care for children for compensation is obliged to notify the family day care supervisor within two weeks of starting the activity at the latest. At the same time, a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act must be presented.
