New Heili reading challenge for 2023

Release
2.1.2023 15:48
The year's themes are joy and relaxation.

The new year is always an opportunity to grab new literature! Heili libraries are publishing their third reading challenge for 2023. The challenge includes 25 points that encourage reading books that bring joy.

- To counterbalance the gloomy news, we wanted to focus on joyful and relaxing books, says the librarian Jesse Lindstrom about the design of the reading challenge.

Take part in the reading challenge by printing a challenge form or getting one from the nearest Heili library. You can use the same book for several challenge points or come up with a new one for each one. You don't have to tell the names of the books you read, but you can also mark the section as completed with a cross. When you return the completed form to the library by the beginning of 2024, you will participate in a drawing for small prizes. As contact information, the ID of your Heili library card is asked, for example HEILI012345678.

The reading challenge has its own Facebook group "Heili library reading challenge". There you can talk about the books you've read, discuss the works others have read or ask for reading tips.

The Lappeenranta city library has compiled tips to help you find reading material for different challenges. Read the tips here.
