A micromobility permit is required for service providers who rent shared micromobility vehicles in an area administered by a municipality. The permit must be valid before the vehicles are brought into the area.
A permit is not required for an operator who rents vehicles for personal long-term use as a leasing service or rents light electric vehicles from a brick-and-mortar store for daily use.
