The maintenance round of the street lights has started
The maintenance round of street lights has started yesterday, Thursday.
During the maintenance round, the maintenance contractor inspects and repairs all lighting faults that he himself detects and that are reported through the map feedback. Larger faults, for example in the cables, are repaired after the maintenance round.
During the tour, the street lights may come on in places, even during the day, so that burnt out lamps can be located more easily.
Reports of broken lights can be made electronically from this link. Dark lights can also be reported to the city hall's customer service: customer serviceimatra.fi (customer service[at]imatra[dot]fi), tel. 020 617 2253.
Broken lamps are repaired centrally at Imatra a few times a year. The exception is, for example, lights that have gone dark near school roads or intersections, which are repaired as soon as the information about the broken light reaches the city. The maintenance round that started now is the second one this year.
Etec Automation Oy works as a maintenance contractor for Imatra.

Why don't the street lights come on...
Why don't the street lights come on Mellonkatu-Valjaskatu-Vällykatu. The evenings are already quite dark when you get home from work at 22 p.m. The bike light does not sufficiently illuminate the bumps in the road, which are quite a lot on those roads.
