Combine skiing and high school

The sports academy offers students who aim for cross-country skiing or biathlon the opportunity to combine high school studies and sports training.

Imatra joint high school and Imatra Athletes work closely together, which makes it possible to combine a customized study plan and high-quality everyday training.

The training is carried out with the Imatra Athletes. A personal development plan is made for the athletes, they are offered the opportunity for a personal coach and the opportunity for financial support for competition costs: with success, the athletes can grow to become contracted athletes of the club. In addition, the opportunity to participate in camps organized by the club is offered, as well as help in organizing athlete support services (e.g. physiotherapy, health care and equipment maintenance).

The Ukonniemi sports center has an excellent setting for everyday training all year round: a roller ski track, snow guarantee from October onwards, a biathlon stadium and comprehensive ancillary training conditions. In addition to the sports academy's morning exercises (3 times/week), the guided group exercises of the young skiers' training group are 2-3 times a week.

Apply to Imatra's Athletes by contacting top sports manager Kari Ahose (kariolavi.ahonenatgmail.com (kariolavi[dot]ahonen[at]gmail[dot]com)). Each athlete's situation is mapped out individually in the income discussion.
