You can get your own Library card and a four-digit PIN code at any Heili library. You can get a card by presenting an ID with your photo and ID number. It can be, for example, a passport, driver's license or an identity card issued by the police. If you want, you can fill out the registration form in advance.
You need a library card to borrow books and other material at home. The library card number (for example HEILI000000000) is also your customer ID. It allows you to use the library's electronic services. You need a PIN code, for example, when you use the library's computers, log in to the online library, borrow from a lending machine or visit a self-service library.
The first library card is free. If your card is lost, we charge a fee of two euros for writing a new card. Report the loss of the card to the library immediately to avoid liability in cases of misuse. If you have forgotten your PIN code, you can ask the staff in the library by presenting your library card. The code will not be given by phone or email.
If your phone number, address or email address changes, notify your library of the change or update your information by logging in to the My account page of the Heili online library. On the page, you can also change your PIN code and activate the electronic Library Card on your smartphone.
The child can have his own library card. There is no minimum age. A child under the age of 15 needs a parent's written consent for a card. A community, such as a kindergarten or a school, can usually get a community card.
