Celia produces and transmits literature in an accessible format, including audio and braille books. Celia's audio books are intended for people who find it difficult to read printed text due to disability or illness. Proof of reading is not required. You can borrow Celia's CD audio books from the main library or reserve them from other Heili libraries. The loan period is four weeks.
You can listen to Celia's audiobooks with a special Daisy player, a computer or a CD or DVD player that plays mp3 files. The main library has a Daisy player that you can borrow to try out. If a person with a reading disability wants their own Daisy player, they can borrow one free of charge Union of the Visually Impaired. The instrument is requested using a separate application form.
You can also register at the library Become a Celia online or CD customer. As an online customer, you get credentials that you can use to borrow and listen to the audiobooks you want online from the Celianet service.
