Outreaching youth work

The goal of detective youth work is to support and guide 15-28 year olds young people into education or work and help them reach the services they need. In investigative youth work, the starting point of cooperation is the young person's own goals and wishes. Cooperation is done with the permission of the young person with other actors and the local network.

Young people can contact the searching youth workers themselves or be directed to become clients through cooperation agencies. Caregivers, friends or close circle can also be contacted when concerns arise about the young person's life situation. Young people are met at a place that suits them best.

The searching youth workers are part of the multi-professional team of the Imatra Directorate. You can also meet them in the coffee parks of Saimaa vocational college Sampo.
