HeritageHunters&Business - training program

HeritageHunters&Business is an international entrepreneurship training program focused on business development and marketing. The program encourages young people to develop business ideas and create sustainable companies inspired by the nature and cultural heritage of Finland and Estonia.

This cross-border training program combines lectures, workshops, study tours and practical exercises, providing a comprehensive and action-oriented learning experience. Participants are selected based on their motivation, interest and commitment.

Duration and structure

• The program consists of three training periods, each lasting 4–5 months.
• Each session has 24 participants and a total of approximately 50–60 hours of work.
• Each period contains eight modules (1,5 hours of lecture + 2–4 hours of independent work).
• Lectures are held online in English.
• Each participant receives personal mentoring and guidance to develop their own idea and business plan.

 Training modules

• Introduction to the area's natural and cultural heritage and entrepreneurship
• Identifying business opportunities
• Business planning and development
• Marketing and branding in cultural heritage-based businesses
• Sources of funding and financial management
• Networking and mentoring in Finland and Estonia
• Preservation and presentation of cultural heritage
• Starting a business and ensuring sustainable operations

Additionally, participants will attend country-specific meetings and workshops where they can network, exchange ideas, and receive mentoring.

Final event: Fresh Ideas Fair – Study trip to Estonia

The program culminates in the Fresh Ideas Fair, where participants pitch their business ideas to the public and experts. The event offers visibility, valuable feedback, and opportunities for collaboration and networking.
