Internationality

Imatra High School has been granted Erasmus accreditation. With the help of the grant we apply for annually, we are able to organize diverse international activities, such as study trips and teacher training, as well as job shadowing. In the academic year 2025-2026, we will organize study trips to Albacete in Spain, Annemasse in France, and Trento in Italy. We will also receive student groups with their teachers from these schools for return visits. 

In addition to the international IB high school line operating in Imatra's co-ed high school, the aim is to make internationality a natural part of the school day for all students. In addition, our goal is to inspire students to choose even more optional foreign language courses and to continue studying throughout the entire curriculum.

We cooperate internationally with the following educational institutions:

• visits and cooperation in Salzgitter, Germany (on hiatus in academic year 25-26)
• student visits to Lycée Jean Monnet, Annemasse, France
