The City Council has approved the Information Management Operating Instructions with its annexes on 4.11.2024 November 244 § XNUMX for use in all branches of the city as guidelines for the implementation of information management.
The goal of the Data Management Act (906/2019) is to ensure high-quality and uniform management of the authority's data materials and data secure processing in order to implement the principle of openness. The purpose of the Information Management Act is to promote the interoperability of information systems and information reserves. Implementation of information management must also be monitored.
The operating instructions for information management are based on the provisions of Section 4 of the Information Management Act and the implementation of Chapter 14 of the administrative rules of the city of Imatra. It is a comprehensive guideline for implementing the organization's information management. The city has not had such an instruction before.
According to the Archives Act (831/1994), the organization of document management is the responsibility of the city government, which also approves the information management guidelines. The instructions are reviewed and updated in accordance with regulations, organizational structure or operational changes.
