In Meltola, street renovation works have started on Reki and Lampsiinkatu and Kelkkakuja

The first thing to do is excavate the old connections of the water pipes on Rekikatu, so that the properties can be connected to the temporary water pipe for the duration of the renovation. 

On Lampsiinkatu, the construction of the wastewater sewer line continues in the 36th week in the middle of the forest.

Next week, at 37 Lampsiinkatu, the old connections of the water pipes will be excavated and connections will be made to the temporary water pipe. At the same time, properties on Rekikatu are connected to a temporary water main. 

The works will not cause significant traffic inconvenience or detour arrangements. It is recommended to run the above-ground tap water more abundantly than normal before it is put into operation due to the higher temperature of the water.

During the week, detours for 38 parts of Lampsiinkatu and Rekikatu properties

Sewerage and water mains will then be built on both streets,
— Due to the work, both streets will have to be closed at the work site, and detours will be arranged for Lampsiinkatu properties 6—20 and Rekikatu properties 5—33 via Rainionkuja. The signposts for the ring road start from Viipurintie, says the local supervisor Konsta Toikka From Mitra.
